Hope we can continue to be a praying ministry and bond closer together during the camp =)During the Workers' Camp in Philippines, the leadership of GLCC shared about the 12 Distinctives of GLCC to many of the Filipino pastors. All the sermons were used of the LORD. One of the sermons stood out and it spoke to my heart. Very strongly. And that was the Centrality of the Church is JESUS CHRIST.HE is central to everything. HE must be central in our lives and HE must be the reason for all the activities in TEENZ MINISTRY. HE said that if HE be lifted up, HE will draw all men to HIMSELF. Our programs and games may attract for a while but HE must be our dependence.
Let's draw some practical application within the ministry. Please pray for these.
1) Worship on Friday Night and Sunday morning especially should be utmost priority for us. Heart preparation must be made before we offer our praise to the KING. Worship should be offered unashamed and unreserved to GOD. Worship leaders are MAN of GOD. Any one can wave their hands but not anyone can be a worship leader.
2) Every sermon should be heard reverendly and strive us to obey. 1 Thess 5:19 - 20 "Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings (preaching)." Talking, using handphones, moving in and out of the auditorium are spiritual distractions.
3) Leaders are examples and i thank GOD for leaders who prays regularly. Prayer meeting is not the place where we display our spirituality. (remember the Pharisee?) Let's mean business and be serious in prayers. Encourage everyone to pray before the Friday Teenz Worship because that will be a time where we too prepare our hearts.
Please keep this sharing in prayer and meditation. I believe our dependence on Christ must continue lest we labour in VAIN. Thanks.
