there's gonna be a tribe outing next week! are you all excited already? :D

well so pick the day: mon, wed. tues cannot cuz got bible study and thurs has got street E so cannot too.
and the movie: cars, garfield2, she's the man

yup then just tell me who wants to watch what and when can who go. then we'll just go on the day when most people can make it and watch the show which most people want to watch. but the movie will be a late one cuz hornsau ends school at 4.30 and so we're gonna wait for him to watch it.

Walking With God

"Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing." - Acts 15:36

Hey guys, was reading "Walking With God" by J.C. Ryle this morning and was really blessed by the first chapter even. It definitely is soul-searching and will be brutally honest most of the time but take it with an open heart... The first chapter talked about how we live in an age of great spiritual danger. Why? Because...

"Never before have so many people throughout the world professed to be Christians. But are they all converted? Many like to attend large meetings, where exciting things are happening. But looking for excitement is a different thing from growing as a Christian, and it is of great importance that we sometimes stop and ask ourselves where we really are spiritually."

The chapter also provided ten questions to see where you are spiritually...

1. Do you ever think about your spiritual condition at all?
2. Do you ever do anything about your salvation? [what this means is that did you take a step of faith to trust in God]
3. Are you trying to satisfy your conscience with outward religion? [like a Pharisee?]
   
4. Have your sins been forgiven?
5. Have you experienced the reality of conversion to God?
6. Do you know anything of practical Christian holiness?
7. Do you know anything about enjoying the means of grace? [means of grace means reading the Bible, private prayer, fellowship & worship, Holy Communion and keeping the Lord's day holy. Are these 5 things real in your life? Are you actively doing them?]
8. Do you ever try to do any good in the world? [Are you being an example?]
9. Do you know anything of living the life of habitual fellowship with Christ?
10. Do you know anything of being ready for Christ's second coming?

"Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour" (Prob 14:9)
Are we really as spiritual as we think today? God please change us to your likeness today! Just go on your knees, and ask God to renew us afresh...
